Kate Corrigan has emerged from the prestigious and world renowned classical training of the Royal College of Music in London, and most recently from girl troupe ‘The Madrigirls’, to become one of the hottest stars of the Celtic/Folk scene, modernising traditional music and bringing to it a sexy, sophistication and in turn, inventing her own new style of ‘Celtic Soul’ to further align it to the mainstream market and sit comfortably alongside the likes of Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis. Kate Corrigan, with her band, performs a vibrant set with songs by some of the greats including Mary Black, Dolores Keane, Mary Hopkin and Alison Krauss; appealing to all ages and inspired by her own Irish roots. |

Having put together her own band Keltic Soul, Kate debuted at London’s prestigious Troubadour venue in September 2008 - home to artists such as Janis Joplin, Jimmi Hendrix, Paul Simon and many others - taking the London music scene by storm.
Kate is currently working with songwriter and former band member of Curved Air’s Darryl Way on a number of songs including a host of original material. 'Take Me Home', Kate’s debut single, was released last year to coincide with Remembrance Sunday and was followed by ‘Without You’, both written by Darryl. Take Me Home continues to be aired on oMusic TV, and both songs are available on i-Tunes or here on her website – www.kate-corrigan.com |
