Keltic Soul - Band Members

Born in 1982, Nik is a self taught Guitarist who has played shows with various acts in the UK, France (Europe) and the USA. Having completed a US Tour at the beginning of this year with an emerging British act Nik has returned to playing regularly on the London Club scene.  Nik plays a wide range of guitar styles from Classical and Folk to Electric and Rock and cites players like Slash, Tommy Emmanuel, Blind Blake and Ralph Mctell as his greatest influences.

Initially training classically on piano and viola and later teaching himself to play guitar and bass, Pete studied under Norman Beedie of the Guildhall before entering the Royal Academy to study on the postgraduate Jazz Course under Pete Churchill, Nikki Iles and Huw Warren. 

During this time he began playing with the Clark Tracey Quintet, touring extensively round the UK and performing in all the major London jazz venues such as Ronnie Scott's, Pizza Express Dean St and the 606.  The band also recorded two albums, Live Fast Die Young and the Mighty SAS.  He now runs his own 9 piece ensemble, Nonentity and has just completed a new album with Salena Jones.

Simon attended the Canberra School of Music in Australia.  He was asked to join the well known Australian band 'The Gadflys' then joined Sydney band 'Juggernaut' going straight into the studio with Tim Farris of 'INXS' to record an EP.  He writes alot of his own material which lead him to being signed to Origin Music Publishing Australia. His works have been used in various TV shows such as 'Big Brother' and more recently to promote the airline 'Qantas'. Since relocating to the UK Simon has toured Europe with various artists and recently won an Indy Music Award for best Funk/Soul/Jazz act with female singer 'Vimala.
